CMS give pupils the opportunity to work towards graded exams with one of a variety of exam boards as and when a pupil reaches the required standard. We also provide essential assistance to our schools within their own exam structures.
Offering a graded exam ladder for all instruments and voice types from Grade 1 to 8 and Diplomas. In addition to this there is also the potential to sit music theory exams and each board also has a Jazz Syllabus for those interested in this genre.
This offers Guitarist, Bass Guitarist, Drummers and Vocalists the opportunity to gain certification in more contemporary popular music based exams.
This offers vocalists an additional set of exams with a branch focused specifically at Musical Theatre.
Instrumental exams at Grade 6 and above are awarded UCAS Points which contribute towards University entrance.
CMS support our secondary schools with bespoke tuition for pupils taking National Curriculum music exams both in individual solo performance and ensemble performance. We also have the capacity to support schools and pupils in the development of their musical compositions, including song writing.
